FALL BOOK DISCUSSION

Join us on Monday, September 27th, at 7:00 p.m.  for a discussion of the book Garlic & Sapphires, by Ruth Reichl. Reichl is currently the editor-in-chief of Gourmet magazine, but previous to that, she was the food critic for the New York Times. In that role, she needed to be anonymous when reviewing high-profile establishments in the biggest restaurant town in the world. How she achieved her goal makes for poignant, hilarious reading.  She discovers how one's outer appearance can influence one's inner character and expectations, not to mention the quality of service one might receive when dining "on the town".

Multiple copies of the book are available at the library. Refreshments will be served.  The discussion will be led by Cathy Capuano. For more information, please call the library at 860-289-6429.

A reminder to all East Hartford residents:

The library offers a Books on Wheels service if you are homebound and cannot get to the library on your own.  For more information,  please call Judy Hillmann, Circulation Librarian at 289-6429.
