The library has a new collection of Playaway Audiobooks. The Playaway is a very simple way to listen to an audiobook on the go! Each Playaway comes pre-loaded with an audiobook, earbuds, and battery. All a patron needs to do is plug in the earphones and enjoy! The Playaway has 3 functions: adjusts the speed of the narrator's voice; remembers where you stopped; works with most headphones, speakers and car adapters. Patrons have a choice of using the earbuds which come with the audiobook, use their own, or purchase a set at the time they check out the Playaway. They are available at the circulation desk for $1.00 a set. For more information about this new service, stop by the circulation desk and speak with Judy Hillman, Circulation Librarian. ON-LINE Renewal of Library Material 1. Log on to http://ibistro.libraryconnection.info/Libraries/EHPL/index 2. On the Connect Screen click on button that says Review My Account. 3. Under My Account click on Renew My Materials. 4. Enter Library Card # (no spaces) 22523xxxxxxxxx 5. Enter your pin-type or the word "changeme" and click list charged items. 6. Select items to be renewed. 7. Click on "Renew Selected Items." 8. You can only renew once on-line. Books on Wheels The library offers a delivery service to homebound East Hartford residents.
